Cookie & Tracking Policy
Exactly what Mendli stores in your browser, why, how long it stays, and which outside services your browser connects to when you use Mendli.
The key points
- Mendli uses no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking pixels.
- We only store what's needed to keep you signed in, keep the site secure, and remember things you asked us to (like your saved workers).
- Because everything we use is strictly necessary for the service you've asked for, the law doesn't require us to ask for consent first. We still tell you about it here and in the notice on the site.
- Advert and Boost statistics, if shown, are counted by Mendli itself, never by an advertising network.
- If we ever add optional analytics or marketing tools, we will ask for your consent before they run.
1. What Mendli stores in your browser
Some of these are cookies; most are "local storage" or "session storage", which work in a similar way. Session storage is deleted when you close the tab.

2. Outside services your browser connects to
To show Mendli properly, your browser loads a few things from trusted providers. They receive your IP address (as any website you visit does) but Mendli doesn't use them to track you, and they don't set advertising cookies for Mendli.

When card payments are switched on, our payment provider may use its own strictly necessary cookies to prevent fraud. We'll update this page when that happens.
3. Why there's no "accept cookies" button
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) only requires consent for cookies and storage that aren't strictly necessary for a service you've asked for. Everything above is needed for Mendli to work, stay secure or remember something you asked it to, so there's nothing optional to switch off. The notice you see on the site is there to keep you informed.
4. Your choices
You can view, block or delete cookies and storage in your browser's settings. If you block the essential ones, you may not be able to sign in or use parts of Mendli. Clearing your browser storage also removes your Saved Workers list on that device.
